Second Entry Advanced Students

My second class!!!
I have to say that I really liked my second class. I am really comfortable with this group of advanced students because they are a really participative group. To start the class, I developed the warm up that consisted in guessing who the famous person was. I divided the class in two groups and then I gave to each group pieces of paper that contained names of famous persons. After it, I told them that I was going to read the personal information about some of them and that they had to guess who the famous was.  The one who pasted the right name of the famous person on the board got a point and so on. At the end, it was a tie.  I want to share with you that during this activity I experienced an unexpected situation because I made a mistake when I gave the pieces of paper with the names of the famous to the groups. One of the groups did not have one of the names and when the other group got the point, they started to complain about it. Thanks God, later they reacted and accepted that they did not even know that that was the right option so then I continued with the activity.

During this class I started with a new unit and again I had to work with a reading from the book so to start I asked some questions to some of the students in order to get familiar with the reading. As I told you before they are a really participative group and collaborated a lot sharing their opinion. Later, I asked them to start reading the article on the book and at the same time I asked them to underline the new words. Then, they continue developing some activities related with the article and when they finished, we check them together. At the end and if I had time, the teacher had asked me to put the students to read out loud the article, and that was what I did because this time I set the right time to develop each activity.  The only problem was that at the end I did not have the enough time to correct some of the words in which they had problems with the pronunciation.
